Our company was founded by Christine Shook, a skilled historian with a passion for bringing stories to life. She began working with museum collections and exhibitions in 2008, and received her M.A. in Oral and Public History from California State University, Fullerton in 2010. Christine has worked with numerous history museums and institutions across California over the course of her career, such as the Old Orange County Courthouse, Mission San Juan Capistrano, Tahoe Maritime Museum, and more. Irrespective of the subject matter, Christine’s exhibitions distinguished themselves through the diversity of voices, engaging interactives, and memorable narratives.

She began working at the Wells Fargo Family & Business History Center in 2014. While there, she worked as part of a team of historians to research, create, and deliver story-based family histories to the bank’s ultra-high-net-worth clients. She conducted genealogical research on families from a diverse set of backgrounds (including British, Canadian, Cherokee, French, Irish, Portuguese, Scandinavian, etc.). With her unique experience in exhibitions and collections, Christine was the primary team member to provide guidance for clients seeking to establish a business archive or turn their story into brand-reinforcing history displays.

WHO IS CLIO
“I chose the name Clio's Story for several reasons. I gave birth in 2022 to an adorable little girl who we named Cleo Rosemary. The names are honorifics. ‘Cleo’ is in honor of my Grandpa Cleo, who was the sweetest, gentlest, most caring person you could ever hope to meet. ‘Rosemary’ is my husband's grandma. She is an absolute spitfire in all the best ways possible. We're hoping for a merger of the two personalities.
